Hanlin Brings Over 30 Years of Experience and Insight to Executive Team

In his role, Hanlin will focus on the growth and promotion of Expertus’ robust content services using the company’s proprietary SmartContentTM methodology and FITTM learning strategy.
Hanlin is charged with bringing to market a fresh approach to content services. The comprehensive SmartContent methodology employs proven instructional design and content development processes, best practices, and learning analytics techniques. To round out the content services portfolio, Hanlin has created the FIT learning strategy to illustrate how content fits into the bigger picture of learning. FIT integrates formal learning, informal learning and technology, accurately addressing the way blended learning occurs in today’s organizations.

Before joining Expertus, Jim served as chief operating officer for Training Industry, Inc., an organization that provides market intelligence, best practices, and research on learning, and facilitates partnerships between corporations and leading training providers. At Training Industry, he consulted with major US and international training companies on market positioning, strategy and business development.
During his career, Jim has served as a senior administrator at a community college, director of education for a professional engineering association, and has founded and served as president and a member of the board of directors for three companies focusing on the development of corporate learning strategy and custom training programs. He has been an instructor for numerous corporate education programs, served as an adjunct faculty member for a community college, and taught graduate level courses in adult and community education.
